Pre-School

preschoolSt. Paul’s’ Lutheran Preschool believes as the bible teaches:

“Children are a gift from the Lord.” Psalms 127:3 (NLV)

We are taught to share the love of God:

“And he said to them,”Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 (NKLV)

It is our responsibility to join with our parents and:

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)

At St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool we are committed to the total development of each child. We have established a Christ-centered environment that provides developmentally appropriate activities that meet the individual needs of each child. Our curriculum offers a balance of activities including teacher directed-free choice times, individual-group times, and active–quiet times. The children participate in activities that will initiate curiosity, encourage engagement in the subject matter, and allow them to use reasoning and problem solving skills in the following areas:

  • Faith Experiences-(Hearing Bible stories, Acting out stories, and Singing Songs about Bible stories)
  • Language and Literacy-(Book Mobile, Story time, Book time, Show and Share)
  • Creative arts-(Art activities, Dramatic Play, Movement and Dance to Music)
  • Health and Physical development-(Encouraging Healthy habits, Motor skills activities, Eye-hand coordination)
  • Social and Emotional skills-(Following directions and listening, Consequence and Conflict resolution, caring and sharing)

We foster a positive self-esteem, acceptance of self, and appreciation of others while sharing the love of Jesus.
Each child is encouraged to develop to their fullest potential and develop their faith. “So that we may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior.” II Peter 3:18. (NKJV)

St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool accepts any child 4 years old by Dec. 31st. Class size is limited to 12 children with one teacher and one aide. Classes meet three days a week- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- from 8:30-11:00 and, if needed, a second class meets 12:45-3:15.
